Liz is an autistic hospital chaplain, writer, teacher, and caregiver with a passion for accessible theology and relationship-based discipleship. She is trained in counseling, trauma care, ethics, and grief work, bringing empathy and insight to her role as a part of the spiritual health team with Emory Healthcare. In Spring 2025, she will graduate summa cum laude from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Chaplaincy & Care Ministry and will pursue a Doctor of Ministry in Theology at Northern Seminary after that.
Beyond chaplaincy, Liz works in the Theological Studies department at Dallas Theological Seminary, contributes to The Opened Bible Academy, and teaches weekly Bible and hermeneutics classes at her home church. She writes about scripture and spiritual formation through the lens of disability and caregiving on her Substack, For Flourishing. Liz also brings her voice to the world of podcasts—guest co-hosting Season 7 of The Untidy Faith Podcast and co-hosting I Read Something Bad, a book club-style podcast exploring theology, culture, and banned books.
